Policy Forum: Ensuring Wisconsin's Environmental
Quality Through Regulatory Reform and Innovation
On December 15, 2003, WEI convened stakeholders representing government, business
and citizen groups to discuss the need for both regulatory reform and environmental
quality. Forum participants were challenged to look beyond the top-down,
prescriptive solutions of the past and to examine innovative strategies and
policies that can lead to positive environmental results and a more productive
business climate.
Forum participants were asked to submit questions to a panel of government, business
and non-profit representatives. These questions are now available on the
Environmental Policy Forum discussion board. Please use these questions to continue
the discussion of regulatory reform and environmental issues, and to add

Environmental Policy Forum: Striking the
Balance for 2003 and Beyond On March 17, 2003, WEI brought together leaders
from the legislature, the Doyle administration, business, government, and
citizen groups to discuss the challenge of effectively addressing the
state's environmental priorities while also growing the economy and
