John Imes,
a
former Chairman of the Board and co-founder of WEI, joined as Executive
Director in July 1998. Previously, Mr. Imes was Environmental Manager
for Quad/Graphics, the nation’s largest privately held printer. John has
over 15 years experience managing award-winning programs and is
recognized as a leader and spokesperson on business and the environment
issues. He has also been involved in many public-private partnerships
with government agencies, environmental groups and business affiliations
. His current engagements include work with the Governor’s Consortium
on Biobased Industries, Green Tier Advisors Committee, DNR Innovation
Stakeholders, Milwaukee Green Team, Wisconsin Agricultural Stewardship
Initiative, Sustainable Tourism Ad Hoc Committee and the Wisconsin
Public Utility Institute. Mr. Imes, a Carroll College graduate is also
co-owner of Arbor House, an award-winning inn and model for sustainable
tourism located in Madison, Wisconsin.

Ashley Ellingson
works as Program Director for the Travel Green Wisconsin program. Her work concentrates on
developing the Travel Green certification program, implementing a
sponsorship program, and researching best practices among sustainable
tourism initiatives to develop case studies.
Ashley has a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
She previously worked with WEI as Program Assistant for the Green Built
Home program. Other experience includes working as an intern and media coordinator for the Wisconsin Public Interest Research Group, where she organized grassroots support for environmental and consumer campaigns.
Robin Pharo, Program Director for Green Built Home, has extensive
experience with construction, energy efficiency, and healthy homes. She
is also president of Healthy Home Reports, a consulting business.
Prior to establishing
Healthy Home Reports, Robin worked extensively in the new home market
through her work at Research Products Corporation and their partnership
with the Building Science Corporation. She was also a a
contributor to the EPA new Energy Star Indoor Air Quality Standard for
homes and has directed research with the Building Science Corporation on
the health and energy efficiency effects of excess humidity within the
home. Robin also holds
certification by the Green Advantage Program.
Robin holds a Bachelor of Science
degree from the University of Wisconsin and has extensive education from
organizations working in improving the home environment including the
Department of Energy (DOE), the Department of Housing and Urban
Development, the Energy and Environmental Building Association, and the
National Home Builders Association.
